Supplies Needed:
Supplies: Music
Notebook (Music /staff paper will be preferable when talking
about the notes)
Pencil (everyday!)

Grading Procedures:
Participation/daily grade: Students will receive 5 points each day for:
bringing materials to class,
participating to the best of their ability,
and following classroom expectations.
Exams: We will have a weekly test on what has been gone over that week. Some
weeks (approximately every other week) we will have a singing test on an
excerpt of the song we are learning.
Concert attendance: is mandatory for the student and is a large part of their
grade. An unexcused absence results in a failing grade for the quarter.
Choir is a class where we work on music to perform as a group in a concert
setting and then perform for people. We need everyone to be there to be
successful. If there is a sudden illness or death in the family, a
parent needs to call the school or send a note the day of the concert or the
day after.
♪The goals of each choir member will be to:♪
♪ Learn and develop good vocal production and skills required for successful choral
singing.
♪ Develop and maintain sight-reading skills.
♪ Develop a basic musical knowledge.
♪ Perform at all two major concerts: Winter
♪ Participate in Organizational Contest in March.
♪ Maintain good school attendance.
♪ Develop excellent daily rehearsal skills.
